*sigh* .. i hate doing this.. i feel like i talk too much.. but this you should hear

Ages ago I decided I wanted live flowers in my room. I planted a tiny leaf that grew into a plant. You've no idea how happy I was, I created life! And when those violets developed the first flower buds I was ecstatic. Beauty growing under my very own eyes. (To be honest i was also happy because i never remembered to water the damn thing so that fact that it grew at all was a miracle. )

Well, I wanted those violets to thrive so I started talking to them and taking care of them daily and they were doing so good.. one day i realized the soil was bad and i replanted them in better stuff.... and they pretty much died. No more flowers, no nothing. I was honestly devastated. You may think it's ridiculous to develop a relationship with a plant, but I say that's only because you've never tried.

It didn't grow for almost a year... and i missed those flowers so much. I started telling it how much i love it and want it to grow ... and in a couple weeks i swear to you they bloomed again.. and then i took this picture.

I've never seen a better metaphor for my life than these flowers... It's like losing and finding love all over again...

Nothing lasts forever, neither misery nor happiness, and that's the most comforting and frightening thought in the world.... interpret as you will.
And if you actually read through this entire thing... then i take my hat off to you and i genuinely appreciate it =D Thank you.

Well done, Katerina.

Just like anything else, the rewards are always greatest after a bit of nuturing.

really cool shot! and yeah about talking to the plants, I guess it does help. I'm not like a huge plant and flower person, but i've heard my friend talking to her plants while she waters them. maybe plants do understand feelings... anyhow im glad your plants came back to life again :)

Kat-
I like this shot very much indeed. The vibrancy of the blues is stunning.
Your little tale is superb, though: proof positive of nature (or whatever we put this down to) working its magic for the little people. Lovely! :D
