TEXTUREGASM! Probably not the most sedate and useful note upon which to start a critique, but I couldn't help myself. The textures are just...wow. The more I stare at the photo, the more I can see in the image and the more things it reminds me of.

There's a big rock just off the shore about half an hour from where I live. It has some weird lichen on it and seagulls live there, leaving their own deposits. The result is that the rock has an unnatural and amazing looking minty green colour. The textures in this picture remind me of that (not implying that you covered the guys in seagull poo, of course).

I honestly never thought I'd write the words "The colour of Steven's tongue really stands out against the crusty skin" but there you go, first time for everything.

I honestly don't have any actual criticism or anything to suggest. I keep finding that when I'm going through my devwatch...that I like things just as they are and wouldn't change a thing.

I wish for the life of me I could give good critiques because although I am not a huge fan of this type of work this image is completely insane, and I love it. Like you said, the devil inside truly came out and gives this image such life. Reminds me of statues coming to life after hundreds of years watching life go by and all they want is each other. I have no idea if that is what you were going for, but you succeeded in my eyes at least. The geometry of the lines in this photograph are pleasing to me, so you saying it's not compositionally correct is unneeded to me. Accidents are sometimes the best teachers.
