Artist's Comments

1. From this shoot, I have a really pretty version of this same shot... I'm posting this instead because "pretty" is boring, regardless of how much my ego whines. Edit: Because a lot are curious... pretty = simply a more flattering angle for my face and a more "correct" composition.. nothing interesting, i assure you :)

2. Romanticism was a literary movement during the 18th and 19th centuries.. it emphasized emotion, imagination, and freedom over reason or rationality. There was also a focus on nature, introspection, and mysticism (among other things). I'm afraid that Wordsworth would be so disappointed by the current state of this gallery. If I see another couple kissing or another melodramatic goth, i think i'll fucking puke. This is my addition to the gallery... believe me, it fits.

you don't like melodramatic goth girls? I love them! They touch my inner saddness like no one else can!

:giggle:

But seriously.. this is a beautiful piece. Almost abstract...
abstraction with a portrait.. lovely combo :)

Beautiful work hun

 .. well.. i'm sure that the majority of the community would love it if they touched more than just your inner saddness.. but that's only because the community consists of masses of horny stupid little boys :D

I'm really glad you like this.. thank you so much. "Abstraction with a portrait"? hmm.. i think i really like the sound of that, it's exactly what i was going for but you've given it the perfect name :)

that lighting looks like it was difficult to achieve. very good work.

A "pretty" version of this shot? I think that this is absolutely gorgeous, and the lighting is excellent.

There are some crazy shadows going on in this picture. I really like the idea of this and the light and contrast is frickin perfect. The details in your lips really draw the viewer in. And the title really is true to your work. The smooth wall, shadowing and skin cause a gorgous array of gradients. If you get bored, submit the "pretty one", I can't see it being much more asthetically pleasing than this though:)

Great peice the lighting is excellent and the expression is very depictive. I agree totally with your points aswell by the way, a photograph of a naked women will get 100 favs here whereas a good truly photograph will get 1 or 2... :+fav:

Well done, once again, Katerina.

The tones are great, including the slightly blown out light on your arm. Gradient is a great name for this.

I really like the composition. Almost as if you feel the upper frame is ready to crush you, you are ready to hold it back. Quite interesting.

This is lovely and I like the words and sentiment but I'm also a sucker for pretty so post the other one as well even just in your scraps area. :) :D
