Wonderful to see your stuff in my devwatch again, and the site is fab.. I confess I'd not managed to get to the old one, but now I've sat and had a good look through, I'm really taken with everything you do... I love Steven's work for its honest and ability to make me question things, but every now and again I find myself a little lost with the deeper meanings. Your work, however, I relate to more immediately... there are pictures and descriptions of your photography that light my spine with shivers of the kind you get when someone twangs a note along the core of your beliefs of the world. I loved scraps of life, and Late Night Conversations, but Raw Nerve just blew me away. You may have captured that quickly, but every picture speaks with both yours and the model's voice. It's quite beautiful.

But I digress from the work at hand... which in itself is wonderful. Since discovering your pairing, I've always enjoyed the pictures you take of one another, and this persona strikes me as quite fitting for Steven. I can't wait to see more of the makeup effects photos, this one's incredible, it's like graphite, utterly smooth, and at odds with the viscosity of the smoke.

I could call this getting you back, but honestly, I hadn't intended to, but once I started lookng through the website, the words just kinda fell out. I hope it shows, if nothing else, that I have just as much respect for you as a photographer!

Hehe intentional or not, you did get me back I appreciate your words more than you know, Sam. It really means a lot to me that someone I respect as much as I do you, says the things you did.
I think I understand what you mean about my work as compared to Steven's, and there's two simple reasons for it, one.. my work is simpler in meaning, so it's easier to grasp and two.. I'm a loudmouth that likes to discuss my work and Steven just lets you figure it out. I'm really happy that you were taken with Raw Nerve, that means a lot to me since that is probably the most important thing that I've done. The only thing I regret about that series is that I ran out of memory on my camera before Amber and I ran out of ideas, otherwise there would be a lot more there.

Again, Sam, thank you so damn much for your words. They really do mean more than I can tell you
