Holidays
I hope all of you have had (and are still having, as the case may be) awesome holidays. I want to wish all of you a very happy new year, may it be the best year you've had so far in your life and the worst of all that will come in the future.

Community Relations Group
If you like to keep up with what the Community Relations team (read: us GMs) are up to, what the current happenings are around dA, the contests, the projects, and events taking place in all the different galleries... then you should join the #communityrelations group. All of the aforementioned information (and a ton more) is centrally located in the group. If you like to keep up with the news around dA galleries then you should definitely join, it's an easy way to get a lot of information in the same place.

Photography Central
We general photography gallery moderators, ^l8, ^PorcelainPoet, ^zerocomplex, and myself have started a group called #photographycentral

There is not much going on there at the moment, and this is not an "Official CR Group" (there are no such things), but we are working on making this group a place where you can get a ton of photography resources, in one location. I will be posting my resource guide on there, we will be linking and posting tutorials and helpful information for photographers.

We're also planning on running activities here! We want to do challenges and fun activities and we are going to centrally locate and organize them all here. So come on by, say hi, watch and the group and hopefully become a member! Very soon, the group will be overflowing with goodies

Studio Voyeur
Hah.. ok.. so I keep mentioning this damned thing and you're probably tired of hearing about it, but the group is active now!! Go to #StudioVoyeur and check it out. I'm collecting submissions now... and I want yours too. But if you don't have anything to submit, I'm totally good with just getting your love If you click on "join", you'll automatically become a member. If you want to contribute, let me know and I'll make you a... dundunDUN... "contributor".

I want submissions for not just the setup of a specific shot, but also submissions of just your studio space. I'm not talking about just professional space. Some people shoot in a professional studio and others shoot in their living room. I want it all So come by and say hi! I'd love to have you


Daily Deviations
This is something that never hurts to repeat. Yes, I accept DD suggestions. Yes, I enjoy getting them and you should never hesitate sending something my way that you love!

Because I receive just a shit-ton of notes though and I actually read/look at every one at least once, there are some things I want to mention to make my life easier and not piss you off

How to Suggest a DD:
Send note to the right GM with the subject line - "DD Suggestion"
Please send your DD suggestions to only ONE GM. I know this is frustating for you because you want to maximize your chances of getting something featured, but it wreaks absolute havoc when 5 of us want to feature the same piece... and none of us know that we're not the only ones with the brilliant plan
Only deviants who have not had a DD in the last 3 months will be chosen.

That's it! Now.. isn't that easy? I don't have many rules and I want to keep it simple. I'm pretty choosy, but the only thing that I really do look for is diversity across genres of stunning work.

You can also use SuggestDD it makes the whole process super easy!
Be prepared, if I select your suggestion, I will probably ask you to write a description for it.

Project 365
Ok, so I've heard about this from all over the place and I'm wondering if any of you are going to be doing it. I am assuming this is a project where you take a photo a day for a year? I'm also assuming that you pick a "theme" as well..

I'm debating this, although mine might be Project 52, because once a week is probably all i have time and energy for. But i'm seriously thinking about it and I want to know if any of you have done, or are planning to do this for the new year! I'm starting to get inspired.. so let's smear inspiration all over each other.
