In the 8th year of its life, deviantArt has spawned a terror unlike any seen before.... the first official contest for Horror and Macabre Photography on dA.
The number 8 and the terror it brought long ago.
In the autumn of 1888, London, England was terrorized by a creature that the world had not seen before: Jack the Ripper.
The violence of his crimes was so gruesome that many didn't consider him to be human, but rather some sort of demon. The fact that he was never captured just terrified people even more and he quickly became a frightening legend.
Your task in this contest is to capture that moment of primary fear that the world must have felt when they were faced with the first modern serial killer. Imagine the fear... imagine the panic... imagine the confusion that people must have felt.. your goal is to capture that.
Some ideas:
Portray how scary the London streets may have seemed at the time.
Portray Jack the Ripper as the monster and demon that people imagined him to be.
Portray the fear and all other emotions that people must have felt at the time.

Your submission must be Horror/Macabre PHOTOGRAPHY No photo manipulations. If you are a photo-manipulator, `IreneLangholm has a contest for you here.
You must submit the photo after August 7th. Actually, it should be created after this date as well, given the specific nature of the contest.
Multiple submissions are ok. But you only win once, so better select your BEST piece.
Entries will be judged on originality, photographic quality, and most importantly: how well it fits the concept

You bring up a very interesting question! You know what? I think sometimes you do so much work as a model that it deserves recognition as well. Why don't you go ahead and post the image and we'll go from there
